Restoration of the Church of San Giorgio in Tione degli Abruzzi begins
On March 18, a fundamental step was taken for the preservation of Abruzzo’s historical and artistic heritage: the maintenance, conservation, and restoration works of the Church of San Giorgio, in the Municipality of Tione degli Abruzzi (AQ), were officially awarded to DUEPUNTOTRE COSTRUZIONI GENERALI.
The intervention, funded under Law 160/2019 for a total amount of €849,488.05, represents a complex operation of protection and enhancement, long awaited by the entire community.
The successful operational launch is the result of fruitful collaboration between the authorities responsible for protection and reconstruction:
- Prefecture of L’Aquila
- Superintendence ABAP for the provinces of L’Aquila and Teramo (Project Manager: Arch. Giovanna Ceniccola)
- USRC, acting as implementing body.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Tione degli Abruzzi, Dr. Stefania Mariani, the Project Manager Eng. Annalisa Di Cristofaro, the Works Director Arch. Federico Santoro, the Safety Coordinator Eng. Giovanni De Leonardis, and representatives of Due Punto Tre Costruzioni Generali s.r.l.
